HRH The Prince of Wales is Chief Guest at "Spirituality in Action", which recognises the contribution of Sufi arts, culture and knowledge to 21st Century life at a gathering of Britain's diverse Sufi Muslim community at Old Trafford.

The event is hosted by Shaykh Mohammed Hisham Kabbani and The Centre for Spirituality and Cultural Advancement.

Aims of the event:

• To highlight the impact of spirituality on young peoples lives.
• To show examples of positive rehabilitation through spiritual experiences.

The cultural show will present artistic and intellectual work from the Muslim
Community including music by Aashiq al Rasul and artwork by Shahida Ahmed a leading local Muslim artist.
The event will be attended by a number of special guests, including:

• Baron Lorn Thyssen- Bornemisza of Switzerland and the Lord Charles Pelham - Earl of Yarborough
• Shaykh Syed Irfan Shah Mashadi, leading Sufi and Islamic scholar of in the UK.  
• Shaykh Muhammad Rasool Bakhsh Sa'eedi President of Jamah Ahlu Sunnah UK
• Shaykh Rabbani Afghani who he holds the post of General secretary to Jamat Ahlusunnah UK.

• Arts & culture is helping to rescue an entire generation of young Muslims from extremists who seek to turn them into ‘holy warriors’ and suicide bombers,”

• Fed up at how Islamic extremists are radicalising young people and trying to encourage militant distortions of Islam, the founders of the new charity CSCA have set themselves the objective of inspiring a popular resistance to extremism.

Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is the spiritual guide of the Centre for Spirituality and Cultural Advancement. His global work is to spread the Sufi teachings of the brotherhood of mankind and the Unity of belief in God that is present in all religions and spiritual paths. His efforts are directed at bringing the diverse spectrum of religions and spiritual paths into harmony and concord, in recognition of mankind's responsibility as caretaker of this fragile planet and of one another

•  Dr. Hedieh Mirahmadi is co-founder of the Centre for Spirituality and Cultural Advancement, UK and a consultant to the British Sufi Muslim Council. Dr. Mirahmadi is a leader in the field of counter radicalization programming and religious retraining initiatives in Britain, the US and Asia.

• Baron Lorn Thyssen- Bornemisza of Switzerland and the Lord Charles Pelham - Earl of Yarborough, both of whom are avid supporters of Sufism and long time students of Naqshbandi World Leader, His Holiness Shaykh Mohammed Nazim Adil al-Haqqani.

• Shaykh Mashadi is a leading international Sufi and scholar who heads a renowned seminary in Pakistan.  In the UK he is based in Bradford and is a regular broadcaster on a range of UK based Islamic TV stations. He is been at the forefront of tackling the root causes of tackling extremism and has issued religious edicts (fatwas) against suicide bombers.  

• Shaykh Muhammad Rasool Bakhsh Sa'eedi President of Jamah Ahlu Sunnah UK and Principal of Faizan e Rasool Educational Institute.  A reviver of the sacred sciences, Shaykh Sa'eedi has been teaching and lecturing for more than 2 decades in the UK.  His main aim and focus being the production and training of future scholars and callers to the faith.

• Shaykh Rabbani Afghani who holds the post of General Secretary to Jamat Ahlu Sunnah UK a mainstream umbrella organisation representing of over 400 UK mosques.

• Shahida Ahmed - A local young northern girl an inspirational artist whose work has been displayed in exhibitions her work all over the UK.
